Anyway, for the first time ever, I am entering this card in a few challenges!
I used my Big Shot to cut out the different die shapes and used a Born to Shop stamp for the image. I used watercolour paints to colour in the image, and also the circular dies. I didn't have any card to hand with the "correct" tones, to match in with the beautiful printed paper. (Joanna Sheen's marbled paper pad) So I used my watercolour paints again, to create a marble affect on the larger circle.
I used some flower embellishments and I put some vellum paper at the left side, I didn't want to cover up the backing paper. I tore some craft paper to create the horizontal strip.
I cut out a rectangular die for the sentiment, which this time I chose 'happy birthday' - I always get caught out with no girly cards for my friends!
These are the challenges I am entering the card into:
A sketch for the Die-ing for a challenge.
Hey Girl challenge at Simon says stamp and show challenge

What a fun card! The subject matter and colour scheme work together perfectly! Thanks so much for joining us for this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge!
Welcome to the world of challenges:) You'll have a great time. Beautiful work with the water colors. I'd have never known that circle was part of the original paper.! Wonderful work

Gorgeous card Eithne, so pretty, I love how you've painted the large circle it's just perfect :)
Well done you for entering some challenges hun, take a peek at Feline Playful if you haven't discovered it already, they list almost all of the current challenges so you'll be hooked in no time :)
The one tip I would give you is to remove the word verification on your blog & use comment moderation instead so you can read all the comments left for you and decide if you want to publish them or delete any spam & a lot of DT members won't comment on blogs with word verification switched on as it's such a waste of time and a pain to get through. If you aren't sure how to do it give me a shout :)
hugs Mandy xx
Hi Eithne, such a pretty card. I love the colour scheme, of course, and your painted circle to match the background is fabulous! Make sure you do what Mandy recommends - it really does make a huge difference! hugs Karen x
