Die Cuts & Digi image at TTPHC

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. We are being pelted with snow as we speak. Much and all as my little ladies would love it to stick, it is just creating a big slushy mess!! Hope you are having a good Monday morning :)

This week over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges, the theme is Die cuts and Digi images. We are very kindly sponsored by :

Offering two images to the winner

and

 Offering $20 coupon

and

1 Tattered Lace Die.

This week I made two cards, as we were very kindly provided with such beautiful supplies.

This is my 'gate-fold' card. It is a double fold, and I used the beautiful Oriental Panda die.

I layered the die cut with both the green paper and black. Once I layered the black on, the image immediately popped out at me, and it changed the whole look of it. I am impressed at how well the dies cut, and how detailed they are.

I covered both sides of the gate fold with some oriental paper, round cornered the edges and then die cut out an opening, to create an aperture.
I used the die to also create extra bamboo shoots, to give a bit of depth.

For the inside, I cut out some white board slightly smaller, round cornered and inked the edges with some distress ink.
Aaaawwwww...... would you look at that cute Panda!

My second card this week, I worked with the beautiful pre-coloured Faye on Toadstool from Pink Gem Designs.

This card followed the theme to a T with all the die cuts!! Went a little crazy, there are 11 die cuts on the card!! Can you find them all?!

I used the same ink colours as per the background paper to stamp the sentiment.
With some blue paper I tore off a strip and embossed it.
I cut Faye's hair out, and then die cut the rest of the circle. Think she really pops out!!
I die cut the doily behind her, and all the banners.

Hope you liked my cards. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful Monday.

I hope to enter these cards into some challenges.

First Through the Purple Haze Challenge for 2014

Good morning, and I hope your Monday is going well so far! We are having a beautiful (cold) sunny morning here in south east-ish Ireland. Hope you are having a calm and peaceful morning, wherever you are :)
This week over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges, our challenge is 'Anything Goes' and we are kindly sponsored by CRAFTY SENTIMENTS. Pop over and have a look at all the beautiful crafty goodies :)  They are offering 3 digis to the winner.

I got this beautiful digi to play with 'Sally having fun' and I made this card.

I decided for this digi, to paper piece some of the digi. I printed her onto cream paper and pink paper, and then carefully cut out the parts I wanted, in this instance her dress and ribbons in her hair.

I cut out the cream sheet in an oval with my X-Cut nested ovals dies (first time to use them!), and then used the larger die to cut it out with the same pink sheet, as per her dress and ribbon. I coloured with some pencils her hair, bag and runners.

I used some beautiful polka dotted paper for the background, and used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom. I added some washi tape, and a flower and a button. This time I put no sentiment on, but could easily add one for any girly occasion!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our new members on the DT, we have 5 new DT teamies joining us this year, check out their talented creations on their blogs.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my card, and thanks for dropping by. Why not head over and take part in the challenge?

I hope to enter this card in a few challenges.

Secret Santa Blog hop

Good morning and I hope this Monday finds you well. The weather has turned crazy here and I hope where you are the storms haven't hit too badly.
Before Christmas the DT I'm on for Through the Purple Haze Challenges, organised a secret Santa. We are doing a blog hop today, so if following you should have come from Darcy's blog. (the full list is at the bottom) I received a package of goodies from my Secret Santa and I love them!
Here are a few photos- (I am missing a pack of washi tape, it fell down behind my desk, so I started reorganising my desk. Oh why did I start?!)

Isn't the tag fantastic? Wow, I am so impressed with the tag. The photo gives no justice to the sprinkling of glitter. It is amazing! I am also in LOVE with all goodies :)

Thank you so much Secret Santa :)
To continue on the blog hop, here is the full list :
Thanks for stopping by and wishing you and yours all the best for the new year!

Birthday wishes to Anita :)

Happy Birthday Anita! Today's post is part of a surprise blog hop for Anita. It is her birthday today, and as a surprise all her design teamies made a birthday card. This is the card I made:

I was spoiled this Christmas with beautiful gifts, a lot of them crafty stuff :) How blessed I am! With a few new supplies, I decided to try and incorporate them. I got this beautiful washi tape, and HAD to use it. The colour combo is not one I would usually use, so I decided to work with it.

I embossed some grey paper with one of my favourite embossing folders - Cuttlebug honeycomb folder. With some pink art paper I punched the edge with a Martha Stewart punch ( I used this same punch for the border on the inside sheet)

Using my Sizzix Framelits 'Label, Ornate no. 2' I die cut with the largest and 3rd largest die. I cut the smaller shape for an opening, and folded it back on itself. I purposely used double sided paper to show the reverse side. (I normally can't stand to use double sided paper as I feel it's such a waste to hide one side when it's stuck down!)

I stamped the sentiment onto some white board, and die cut it out. I got some pink bakers twine and threaded through the tag die cut, and also looped a charm through it.

For the bottom right hand corner, I added three buttons and a flat back pearl, in colours to complement the card.

Please check out all the other beautiful cards on the surprise blog hop, from my design teamies!
