Birthday Cupcakes :)

This week over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges, we have a Double Challenge of Bingo! Both teams are creating a project this week, and then by public vote, the DT member with the most votes wins a prize! yippeee! You can vote for your favourite DT entry at the right hand side of the blog post. As I recently moved to team B, I am fond of both teams (!!), so go take a look and see which DT creation you prefer.

This is the Bingo sheet - we can choose diagonally, vertical or horizontal. I chose, (can you guess??) Bling, Three Papers and Sentiment, one of the diagonal row.

This weeks sponsors are Lacy Sunshine and Craft and Me. The prizes are $20 to spend in Lacy Sunshine store and three digis from Craft and me, so WOOHOO there will be two winners this week :)

I have used this beautiful Lacy Sunshine cupcake fairy for my 'S' fold card.

I used watercolours to paint her, and a bit of bling for her frosting hair!

This is the card when it is standing. You can see the three different papers I chose. The green paper is beautifully embossed with glitter on it.

This sticker, I used for the sentiment. It tied in with the cupcake/cake theme fairy!

Yum, all this talk of cake is making me hungry!! ;-)

Why not give the challenge a go? I hope to enter this card into some challenges.
1)  Glitter (on the paper) - belli challenge (27/8/13)
2)  Your Choice - The Cheerful stamp pad
3)  Something Sweet - Created with Love (24/8/13)
4)  Birthday Celebrations - Digi Darla's Challenges (24/8/13)
5)  Challenge No. 38 - Photo Inspiration - The Paper Girls Challenge
Hope wherever you are, you have a wonderful Monday :-)

Sisterly love!

Hello everyone from a beautiful and sunny east Ireland :) hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

In the past two months I have been lucky enough to catch up with my two older sisters. Both live far away, but we still managed to get more than a few snippets of conversations in while they were "home"! It is truly wonderful to reconnect and catch up with sisters after some time of being away.

My sister Emily's birthday was the end of April but I didn't get to see her until the weekend. This is the card I made for her.

I used vellum paper, beautiful glittery cupcake paper, pink embossed board, buttons, washi tape, Tim Holtz Bigz label die, flowers, outline stickers.

I only had a white oval shape, but needed it to fit in with the cream or colours. I used a blue ink pad to ink it up, to match in with the rest of the card. I LOVE the effect and colour!

I LOVE all the summer, fresh colours :D  I have looked at these papers (the printed vellum and the glittery cupcake paper) for months, and never got around to using them! I was so glad to combine all the different papers and boards to complement each other.

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment! :)

I am going to enter these challenges-
Lots of Layers Cutie Pie Challenge
Colour challenge Stamp and Create blog
For a special lady Whoopsie Daisy Challenge
Anything Goes, 2 patterned papers Clear it Out challenge

Bon voyage.

Hello, hope you are having a great day. I am just about to wind down for the night, it was an eventful day!
For the afternoon, I was at a first birthday party for my nephew. The sun shone all day, and all kiddies had a blast :)
We came home from one party and straight into another! My younger brother is moving to Canada on Tuesday :( so tonight we had a "going away" party for him. These are some buns (cupcakes) I made for the occasion....

Although it took some longer than others to realise the decoration! ;)

With red roll out icing, I used a leaf cutter as a maple leaf, to represent part of the Canadian flag. I used my standard bun recipe, I will post it later in the week.

I also made some chocolate fudge brownie, and had to test several pieces as I went along. I am still waiting for the over indulgence to digest ;) ......

What is your favourite cake to bake? Mine is chocolate fudge brownie, if I do it right, it tastes deliciously moist, fudge and divine!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
