Floral Best Wishes Card!

Hello! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend :) we are having a repeat of Winter here in Ireland!!!
This month over at Eclectic Ellapu the challenge is Anything Goes for the Pink Team.

This is the card I made for the challenge. It is a card for a friends wedding coming up.

Using some kraft card as a base, I followed it over to an A5 size and used a 6" x 6" sheet of paper pad, cutting it with a wavy blade on the guillotine. With a combination of die cuts and punches I layered the paper/card on the left side.
I used a selection of skeleton leaves, flowers and embellishments to decorate the card.

If you are crafting this month, why not enter the challenge?
Thanks so much for popping by,
Have a great day,
Eithne :)

Purple Team for Birthdays

Hello and hope you have a wonderful Sunday. This week over at Eclectic Ellapu, the purple theme is 'Birthdays' and the pink theme is 'feeling fruity'. As I am on the purple team, I made an A5 birthday card. This was for my daughters friend, who turned four yesterday.

I used some printed vellum paper, and used a punch to cut it into a circle. The layered up some papers, punched the black sheet and used some outline stickers for the sentiment. I stamped the image of the cupcake and roughly coloured it. I used some gems and washi tape to add to the card.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you can join in the challenge.

Happy crafting ;)

Food Glorious Food!

Hello, and happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. This week over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges the theme is 'food glorious food'. It is pretty apt after the weekend of food I have had ;-)
This week the challenge is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

This is the card I did for the challenge - I used Bubbles Halloween.

I used loads of Autumnal colours for this card.
I coloured in the image and stuck it off centre onto a die cut doily.
I used some beautiful stripy paper, and a red strip with yellow paper "bunting".

I added some gems and 3-D sticker and some outline stickers to finish it off.
Hope you enjoyed having a look.

5 Today!

During the week, my goddaughter turned 5! Goodness, can't believe she is that old already. How time flies when you are busy!!

I made this card for her birthday, and amazingly posted it on time! (woohoo, I'm slowly getting organised ;-)  )

I used a cream card folded to A5 (148.5mm x 210mm). I cut a pink sheet about 20mm shorter both sides, and embossed with my happy birthday folder.

I cut out '5' from beautiful glittery foam, and stuck it onto some glittery paper. (The photos don't allow for the glitter to show :( !!  )
I used two dies to cut out the cerise pink border around the '5'. I had no letters or stamps small enough, so I wrote with a silver pen 'today', and of course couldn't resist two hearts!

I've been trying to find a die for bunting, but been having no joy lately! So I made my own, from washi tape. I have done this a few times before, and with my lovely collection of polka dotted washi tape, they work well together.  I attached the washi tape to some wire and put two brads into the card to thread the wire to. I have some Kaisercraft Mini Alpha Stickers, which I used to create 'happy' for the bunting.
I used an outline 'birthday' sticker for the finish.

I love the jovial, party feel the card gives. Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day :)

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Elephant fun

Hello everyone, hope you had a great Wednesday. Today I am showing you a card I made recently for a little boys 1st birthday.

When I saw the elephant paper, I thought it was perfect for the card. I cut out the digit one from some adhesive blue felt. Then used some gems to highlight the number, and used a silver pen to outline the whole number.

I used circle dies with blue card to create the layered effect, and again using the silver pen outlined the bigger circle in faux stitches and drew "today"

I embossed half the red card, this particular embossing folder allows for embossing any direction which is fantastic. I stuck some outline stickers with the sentiment "happy birthday" to a blue strip.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day :)

Sisterly love!

Hello everyone from a beautiful and sunny east Ireland :) hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

In the past two months I have been lucky enough to catch up with my two older sisters. Both live far away, but we still managed to get more than a few snippets of conversations in while they were "home"! It is truly wonderful to reconnect and catch up with sisters after some time of being away.

My sister Emily's birthday was the end of April but I didn't get to see her until the weekend. This is the card I made for her.

I used vellum paper, beautiful glittery cupcake paper, pink embossed board, buttons, washi tape, Tim Holtz Bigz label die, flowers, outline stickers.

I only had a white oval shape, but needed it to fit in with the cream or colours. I used a blue ink pad to ink it up, to match in with the rest of the card. I LOVE the effect and colour!

I LOVE all the summer, fresh colours :D  I have looked at these papers (the printed vellum and the glittery cupcake paper) for months, and never got around to using them! I was so glad to combine all the different papers and boards to complement each other.

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment! :)

Boy's Birthday card

Hello! Can you believe tomorrow is Pancake Tuesday? I love pancakes :D yum yum!! What will you be putting on your pancake?

A while back I made this card for my cousin's 1st birthday.

I used a DL white card. With some light blue paper, I embossed it with the honeycomb folder. I used a strip of patterned paper and a lovely wooden framed embellishment.

Outlined stickers did the trick for the sentiment.

I just downloaded the blogger app, so this my first "go" at it. I found it impossible to blog on an iPad with blogger, so this might be a great way to blog more often. (If of course I can convince my girls it's MAMMY's turn on the iPad!!)
Hope you are having a great Monday.
Thanks for stopping by :)
