All You Need is Love

My good friend got married in August, and I made this card for the happy couple.
For something different, I decided to do a four panel card. The first panel I die cut out a scalloped square, and embossed a section of the front.

The second panel, I covered the background, and added a little sentiment. I got a stamp awhile back with "All You Need is Love!" As I am a HUGE Beatles fan, (and while in school I made everyone else listen to them as well, so all my friends had no option but to like them also!)

This is the embellishment I made with a few die cuts, flowers and a button. I also stamped another sentiment on, "love love love". On to some vellum I stamped silver flowers and put them onto a grey scalloped strip for behind the embellishment.
This second element I made again, from die cuts, printed vellum paper, and leaves. Again, I stamped the words "love love love". (carrying on from the song!) I covered this panel with a similar coloured paper to the first panel. Rather than a scalloped square, I cut out a plain square.

This is at the back of the card, but when the card is closed you see it. I added some gems to break the plain look!

This is the view looking down on the card when it is standing up.

The "love love love" here is printed in silver ink onto plain vellum. When the card is closed it can be seen through the different size cut outs. I used two brads to hold the vellum in place, and knotted ribbon through also.

This is the last side of the card. I used printed vellum, iridescent card, flowers, gems, beads etc.

I am hoping to enter this card in the following challenges
Stamp n Doodle - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Emboss it
365 Cards - Patterned paper and a stamp on the inside

Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day.

Best wishes card

My brother opened up a music shop last week! A big venture, but something I know he'll succeed in, considering his enthusiasm for music, especially guitars. I needed to make two cards for this momentous occasion. Check out the photos for the first card -

I used a silver pen to highlight the wording sentiments - one dashed and the other a solid outline.
A cute little musical charm I picked up a few years ago - an electric guitar. I never had the right card for it until now!

I stamped some silver guitars onto some greaseproof paper/vellum paper. I had some musical paper lying around so I tore that, and layered it with the greaseproof paper and some black card.

I used some lovely white organza ribbon to make a bow and the used a brad to fasten the charm into place.

Thanks for stopping by :D

Baby Boy Card

This was a quick make! I recently purchased an embossing machine, and this is one of my embossing folders. (I have to say, I *LOVE* love, love, love, love my embossing machine! Every scrap of paper I can find is being embossed!!)

I embossed the phrase "bundle of joy" onto a light blue card, and then inked it with a silver ink pad. I wasn't happy with the look, the light blue and silver were too close a colour to really notice them. So I went over the raised image with a teal coloured ink pad. It gives a nice two tone effect.

I stuck that onto a larger piece of dark blue card, and did the "stitching" with a silver pen. I stuck down the tartan strip centered on the 5" square white card, and used foam pads to give the sentiment a real 3D life.

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!
